Applicants to both the Ph.D. program and the M.S. program must meet the following minimum requirements. Admission requires completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in biology or a related scientific discipline. An undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 is required together with strong grades in science courses. Applicants must also submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores. When requesting official GRE test scores from ETS, the Department Code 0608 for Immunology or 0212 for Microbiology should be included. Applicants must also submit three letters of recommendation, preferably from academic sources, as well as a Statement of Purpose. International applicants, as defined by the WSU Graduate School, must submit TOEFL scores. A minimum TOEFL score of 100 is required. The Department Code for requesting official TOEFL test scores is 07.
Applications to the Immunology and Microbiology Ph.D. and M.S. programs are accepted for Fall semester only. Applications must be submitted online by completing the WSU Graduate Application. All documents should be submitted online. If this is not possible, contact the Graduate Admissions Office for instructions.

Ph.D. Program: Due to the limited number of assistantships, applicants are advised to complete their applications by February 1. Applications completed after this date will be considered but available spaces may have been filled.
M.S. Program: Applications to the M.S. program should be completed by May 1.
